Virtual Learning Support Services ($85/60 minutes)
As we all cope with our mostly virtual world these days, we know that this presents a variety of new challenges for families. Parents are now monitoring their child’s virtual learning and this requires a great deal of effort, time, and often becomes a source of stress for all. Student Compass Consulting is here to help your child take charge of their learning by providing individual check-ins.
During the check-in we will provide your child with all the tools needed to take charge of their remote learning. These services are based on your child’s specific needs but often will include helping your child get organized for the week, checking assignments, and assisting with questions around assignments as needed. Sessions can be scheduled two-four times a week depending on what is most helpful for your family. For our younger learners we will help them begin assignments, check work, and develop organizational skills. For our older learners, we will focus on executive function skills, teaching students how to schedule their week and follow through with assignments. We work with students from K-12th grade for these sessions.
Tutoring ($85/60 minutes)
At Student Compass Consulting, we offer tutoring services to students pre-K through 12th grade. We are able to assist students who need additional support in a subject area as well as help students develop organization and study skills. For our youngest learners we offer services to develop a strong foundation in early literacy, language, and math skills. For all students, we are happy to support any areas needed and work with your child so they understand how they learn best and develop a sense of confidence in the classroom. At Student Compass Consulting, it is our goal to help your child develop their identity as a lifelong learner and understand their unique learning style to maximize their potential.
Study group services (price adjusted based on number of students)
We work with students individually or are able to work with small groups of children. If you have a group that would like to focus on certain skills we are happy to set up lessons. For our youngest learners this may look like early literacy and math skills. For our older students this could be a book club that meets weekly, focusing on comprehension skills. Prices for group lessons are adjusted depending on the size of the group. We work with students from Pre-K to 12th grade.
Special education support ($100/60 minutes)
The world of special education can be extremely overwhelming. When you child is diagnosed with a disability and services begin at school you will be attending a variety of meetings and receive an individual education program (IEP) outlining services your child will receive. We are here to walk you through this process step by step to ensure your child is getting all of the services they need. We will meet with you to discuss your child, review the IEP provided by the school and help you implement strategies at home that support the unique needs of your child.
Our team includes special education teachers, a speech language pathologist, an occupational therapist, and a counselor. We also offer continued support for IEP goals outside the school setting. We will work with your child to reach their goals and provide parents with activities to work with their child on developing those skills as well. We provide special education support services for students from Pre-K to high school.
Behavior support ($125/60 minutes)
Challenging behavior can arise and we are there to help you implement strategies that work for your family. During the first session we will discuss the behavior and learn more about your child.
